Zuellig Pharma Bangladesh Limited was incorporated in June 2006 as Zuellig Pharma continued its expansion into South Asia. Establishing its Corporate Office in the Gulshan area of Dhaka, Zuellig Pharma worked hard to establish its client base in Bangladesh and was rewarded in February 2007 with an agreement with GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh (GSK) for the exclusive distribution of its portfolio of products through 11 branches nationally.

In Q4, 2007, Zuellig Pharma will implement its SDS ERP system, the information technology backbone supporting its business throughout the Asia Pacific and specifically tailored to meet the needs of multinational clients in the distribution of their pharmaceutical and healthcare-related product portfolios. With the implementation of SDS, principals will have access to zip-online, Zuellig Pharmaˇ¦s powerful internet-based sales and information system.

In 2008, Zuellig Pharma plans to commission a Central Distribution Center specifically designed for the storage of pharmaceutical and healthcare-related products on the outskirts of Dhaka. The Distribution Center will directly service over 3,500 customers in Dhaka and replenish branch warehouses around the country.
With this infrastructure in place Zuellig Pharma will take a major leap toward its objective of being the pharmaceutical distributor of choice for multinational and local pharma companies in the Bangladesh market.
