The security and efficiency of Zuellig Pharma’s supply chain in Hong Kong has been recognized through the certification of ISO 28000, a global standard specifying the requirements for a security management system that is able to assess security risk in the supply chain process.

To achieve this, Zuellig Pharma Hong Kong was assessed on all critical aspects of supply chain security assurance, including financing, manufacturing, information management and facilities for packing, storing and transferring goods between locations.

“This is a milestone for us as security management is linked to many other aspects of our business management, which we take very seriously at Zuellig Pharma,” said Andi Umbricht, Chief Executive, Zuellig Pharma Hong Kong and Macau. “Our customers entrust us with their products, and we need to ensure shipments are not tampered with during the entire handling process.”

The certification demonstrates the company’s end-to-end risk management program, with a focus on both quality and security and a plan-do-check-act approach to understand, measure and manage potential security threats. “ISO 28000 certification is also an important recognition of our overall efficiency in logistics operations,” Andi added. “It demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest quality services.”
