Enabling the development of young medical professionals is an important part of Zuellig Pharma’s business in Vietnam and this year the company is celebrating its 15th year of support for the Nguyen Van Huong Scholarship.

The Nguyen Van Huong Scholarship provides financial aid for students from Ho Chi Minh City Medical University and Pham Ngoc Thach Pharmacy University. This year’s programme will support 140 students.

Zuellig Pharma Vietnam Chief Executive Robert Kruit said: “The Nguyen Van Huong Scholarship has supported the education of more than 2,000 medical professionals since it was established in 1998. These men and women play a big role in shaping our future healthcare system and meeting the fast-growing and changing needs of people across the country. It is an honour to contribute to their education.”

Mr Kruit added that Zuellig Pharma’s ongoing support for the Nguyen Van Huong scholarship is an important part of the company’s commitment to make healthcare more accessible.

“We have strong relationships with thousands of clinics, hospitals and other healthcare providers across the country and see every day the care and dedication our doctors and nurses provide to patients and communities. Helping to build the pool of professional medical talent in any market is a key part ensuring patients can access and adhere to treatment.”
