As part of the partnership with the National Institute for Control of Vaccines and Biologicals (NICVB) and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE) to improve access to vaccination in Vietnam, Zuellig Pharma Vietnam organised an event to handover US$600,000 worth of the eZCooler solution on 20 December 2019.

At the event, more than 600 of our eZCooler solution of three different capacities (from 8 litres to 96 litres) were donated to representatives from six local provinces (Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Son La, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, and Quang Ninh).

The eZCooler solution is a sophisticated packaging solution that ensures the integrity of temperature-sensitive products to the last mile of transportation. Phase change material and vacuum insulation panels ensure stable storage temperatures for up to five days, providing access to vaccinations for patients in rural or remote areas.

Zuellig Pharma and NICVB also conducted several on-site training sessions with over 200 local healthcare staff in December. The local representatives gained knowledge on best practices in cold chain management and guidelines on good storage practices (GSP) for temperature sensitive products.

“By providing our eZCooler solution and training sessions, we hope to ensure the integrity of the vaccines in areas that are geographically difficult to reach across Vietnam. We are pleased to be part of this project that directly links to our purpose of making quality healthcare more accessible,” said Marc Franck, Chief Executive Zuellig Pharma Vietnam.

The event was attended by MoH, NICVB, NIHE, and Department of Health.
