Zuellig Pharma, a leading healthcare solutions company, today announced the expansion of its cold chain facilities at the Anseong Mega Hub Center in Gyeonggi-do Province.

The expansion addresses the rising demand for cold chain pharmaceutical distribution, reinforcing Zuellig Pharma’s continued investment and commitment to advancing healthcare access, while supporting the region’s growing pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

Following this expansion, the Anseong Mega Hub Center now has a total logistics handling capacity of 17,500 pallets across both ambient and cold chain facilities, including 7,500 pallets for cold chain pharmaceutical products, making it one of the nation’s largest single-facility cold chain storage capacity in South Korea. The additional capacity significantly boosts Zuellig Pharma’s capability to safely store and handle temperature-sensitive products, including vaccines, biologics, and biopharmaceuticals in the market.

Since opening in 2024, the Anseong Mega Hub Center has completed its Korean Good Supply Practice (KGSP) registration, providing integrated management of healthcare products across both ambient and cold storage conditions. In March 2026, the facility also achieved TAPA FSR (Facility Security Requirements) Level A certification from the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), the highest tier of compliance under the global supply chain security standard, which assesses areas including physical security, access control, and operational processes.

Zuellig Pharma maintains stringent quality management systems aligned with ISO certifications (27001, 9001) and global quality standards (WHO GMP, EU GDP, ICH GCP). These frameworks underpin strict regulatory compliance and quality controls at every stage of the pharmaceutical process—from storage to distribution—supporting a reliable cold-chain supply network that prioritizes product integrity and patient safety.

“Temperature-sensitive medicines, such as vaccines and biologics, require consistent and precise management throughout the entire logistics process,” said Marc Franck, Managing Director of Zuellig Pharma Korea. “The expansion of our cold chain facility is a strategic investment in building a more resilient pharmaceutical supply chain capable of adapting to evolving industry needs. We will continue to expand our infrastructure and capabilities to serve as a trusted healthcare partner to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, the medical community, and the communities we serve.”

Zuellig Pharma operates 11 distribution centers across South Korea, commanding a total nationwide integrated storage capacity of 45,000 pallets for both ambient and cold chain products. This network plays a critical role in the country’s healthcare supply chain, supporting the distribution of a significant volume of temperature-sensitive healthcare products nationwide.

Further strengthening its specialized healthcare logistics capabilities, Zuellig Pharma operates a Clinical Trial Support (CTS) Innovation Center in Osan, Gyeonggi Province. The facility provides end-to-end cold chain solutions covering ambient, cold, frozen, deep frozen, and cryogenic conditions, enabling the safe handling, storage, and distribution of investigational medicinal products (IMPs) for clinical trials.
